The Sri Sathya Sai Global Association of Malaysia (SSSGAM) Taman Yarl joyfully conducted a Pongal Celebration on 18th January 2026, bringing together devotees, SSE students, parents and families in a spirit of gratitude, unity and cultural harmony. The celebration beautifully highlighted the significance of Pongal as a festival of thanksgiving to nature, parents, teachers and the Divine.

A variety of engaging activities were organised for the SSE students, encouraging creativity, teamwork and joyful learning. Group 1 students participated enthusiastically in a colouring contest, expressing the festive spirit through vibrant artwork. Group 2 students took part in a Kolam/Rangoli activity, learning the cultural and spiritual significance of this traditional art form. Group 3 students enjoyed decorating Pongal pots, showcasing their creativity while Group 4 students actively participated in a Pongal-making activity, gaining hands-on experience and appreciation of the traditions associated with the celebration.

In the midst of the celebration, a sudden heavy downpour graced the programme, which was joyfully received by all as a divine blessing perfectly echoing the spirit of Pongal. The programme was further enriched with prayers and bhajans, creating a devotional atmosphere filled with joy and togetherness. The enthusiastic participation of the all devotees made the celebration lively and meaningful.

The celebration concluded with bhajans and all devotees received His blessings, and reaffirming everyone’s commitment to live by His message of love, service, and gratitude.
