Indonesia, SSSGC Jakarta Balvikas Children Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi

The Sri Sathya Sai Educare (Balvikas) Programme of SSSGC Jakarta, Indonesia, celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on Friday, September 18, 2026, with more than 90 students and teachers in attendance.

As the Balvikas classes are conducted every Friday from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, the celebration provided a meaningful opportunity for the children to deepen their love and devotion to Lord Ganesha. In the Sri Sathya Sai Educare Programme, Lord Ganesha is often among the first deities introduced to children. His inspiring stories, divine form and many attributes offer young learners meaningful avenues to understand and practise Human Values.

The celebration featured a variety of devotional and interactive activities, including mantra chanting, a medley of bhajans presented by the Group IV Girls, the creation of a Chocolate Ganesha followed by its immersion in milk, a Lord Ganesha-themed Jeopardy game, speeches by the children and stage performances. The programme concluded with Mangala Aarti.

The celebration unfolded in an atmosphere of joy, enthusiasm and devotion as students and teachers came together to commemorate the auspicious occasion. The children's radiant smiles and joyful participation reflected the love and grace associated with Lord Ganesha, making the celebration a memorable experience for all.
