Malaysia, Pongal Celebration & Back to Balvikas Programme by SSSGC Seremban

The Sri Sathya Sai Global Association of Malaysia (SSSGAM), Seremban and Nilai organised the Sai Pongalo Pongal Celebration and Back to Balvikas Programme on 17 January 2026 at Wisma Sri Sathya Sai, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

The programme was held in conjunction with Pongal, a traditional harvest festival celebrated as an expression of thanksgiving for nature’s abundance and blessings. The event was themed “A Celebration of Gratitude and Togetherness” and also marked the resumption of Balvikas classes following the school holiday period, serving as an opportunity to re-engage children and families in spiritual and value-based activities.

The programme commenced with EHV classes registration and team check-in, followed by the Sai Pongalo Pongal event. Families participated together in a Pongal cooking competition, fostering unity, cooperation and joyful interaction. The evening programme included prayers, bhajans, cultural sharing, winner announcements, prize distribution and concluded with fellowship over dinner.

The active participation of children, parents, and devotees contributed to a well-organised and harmonious programme. The event successfully promoted togetherness, gratitude and community bonding, while reinforcing spiritual values among participants.
