In commemoration of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Aradhana Mahotsavam and Mahabhikkhu Ashin Jinarakkhita, SSSGC Yogyakarta organized a social service (Grama Seva) activity on Sunday, May 11, 2025, held in Padukuhan Kerjo, Kalurahan Ngestirejo, Kapanewon Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul Regency.

The event was attended by members and participants from both SSSGC Yogyakarta and SSSGC Indonesia. The organizing committee was led directly by Mrs. Zuki, who also serves as the Chairperson of SSSGC Yogyakarta. Also in attendance were the Vice Chair of SSSGC Indonesia, Bro Johnny Wong, and Colonel Inf. Dr. Drs. Aco Lamama of the Indonesian National Army (TNI AD), along with his family.

The committee was composed of Sai devotees from various cities across Indonesia, united in the spirit of selfless service to distribute aid to the local community. The team departed from the Sai Center Yogyakarta at 8:00 AM WIB and arrived at the location around 10:30 AM after a two-and-a-half-hour journey. They were warmly welcomed by thousands of residents, including 1,008 beneficiary families.

The event began with an ice-breaking session, where residents joined the volunteers in singing and dancing to lighten the atmosphere. A sense of joy and closeness was immediately felt. This was followed by the orderly distribution of basic necessities to all the families present.

Each aid package contained 5 kg of rice, cooking oil, tea, sugar, salt, instant noodles, vermicelli, milk, biscuits, wafers, T-shirts, and boxed meals. In addition to the main distribution, the seva team from SSSGC Yogyakarta also delivered 250 extra aid packages directly to the homes of elderly residents and those with physical disabilities. In total, 1,258 aid packages were successfully distributed.

The local community received the event with great happiness and expressed their hope that similar activities could be held again in the future.
