SSSGC Brunei Spreads Love and Care to 1,000 Four-Legged Residents

Since June 2025, the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council (SSSGC) Brunei has been quietly yet devotedly extending love and care beyond human boundaries to a shelter that is home to over 1,000 stray dogs. This shelter, run single-handedly by a compassionate soul, Pg. Nor, provides these animals with safety, food, and the dignity of a home.

Recognising her dedication and the needs of the shelter, SSSGC Brunei undertook a project to provide 20 full bags of rice every month for five months amounting to a total of 100 bags by November 2025. This steady stream of supplies ensured that the dogs received wholesome meals consistently.

Beyond providing provisions, members also actively participated in preparing food for the dogs and personally serving the meals. During Guru Poornima 2025, the group rolled up their sleeves to clean the small houses where the dogs live and clear rubbish from the compound, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for them.

Though the Brunei group is small in number, their hearts are large in love. Members expressed that they felt Swami’s loving presence guiding every step, making this seva deeply fulfilling.

Through this service, SSSGC Brunei embodied Swami’s teaching that is to Love All, Serve All.

The joy of giving, the smiles on the faces of the shelter’s four-legged residents, and the gratitude of the shelter’s caretaker made this initiative a blessed offering at His Lotus Feet.
