Sri Sathya Sai School Initiative in Pipra Village, Bihar by Alma Centre, SSSGC Malaysia

The Alma Centre Seva team from Sri Sathya Sai Global Association Malaysia (SSSGAM) Alma, Penang has launched a small shelter school at Pipra Village, Karma Tikar, Gaya District in Bihar, India to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged children in the region.


The sighting of the venue and construction began in November 2023 and classes commenced in December 2023. The school was officially launched on the 23rd of March 2024 with the participation of six devoted individuals who joined hands to inaugurate the Sri Sathya Sai School, Pipra Village.


The aim of this initiative is to equip the underprivileged children with basic education. The subjects taught are English, Hindi, Mathematicss and Human Values. With the overwhelmingly positive response from the community, the classroom was upgraded to accommodate up to 40 students.


Currently the school comprises of a teacher together with 3 helpers assisting the school. The Sri Sathya Sai School caters to students aged between 5 to 13 years old and classes are conducted daily for 3 hours per day.


The children are also served with mid day refreshments. As part of the upcoming initiatives, students will soon be provided with Sai uniforms.
