Pi Mai Lao Celebrated with Great Festivity and Devotion at Sri Sathya Sai School, Lao PDR

The joyful spirit of Pi Mai Lao, the traditional Lao New Year, was celebrated on 13 April 2025, with vibrant festivities and deep reverence at Sri Sathya Sai School in Lao PDR, bringing together over 700 students, teachers, and staff.

The celebration began with a Baci ceremony, a sacred Lao spiritual tradition invoking blessings, harmony, and peace. Following this, the students offered water in devotion, first to Lord Buddha and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, and then to their teachers, a heartfelt gesture symbolizing respect, gratitude, and purification for the New Year.

The day unfolded into a joyful atmosphere filled with traditional food, games, and cultural activities. A friendly football match added to the excitement, encouraging camaraderie and team spirit among students and staff alike.

True to the values of love, respect, and unity, the Pi Mai celebration at Sri Sathya Sai School was a beautiful reminder of the importance of spiritual traditions and community bonding, lived joyfully by the Sai family in Laos.
