As part of the centenary celebrations of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the SMILE (Serving Mankind Inspires Love Everywhere) Program of SSSGC Jakarta held two seva activities on Saturday, September 13th, 2025. The SMILE Program, established in 1998, has been dedicated to nurturing underprivileged children through English education infused with human values. Today, it continues to serve 123 students with the support of 26 teachers, reflecting its mission: “To Promote Education That Builds a Strong Character in Children as They Are the Future of Our Nation.”
Seva Activity 1: Bird Release
The first seva took place at the Sai Center in Pasar Baru Selatan, Central Jakarta, where 1,000 birds were released by 14 devotees. This act was filled with symbolic meaning, representing “letting go of the past” and embracing new beginnings with hope and blessings from Swami. The atmosphere was charged with joy and devotion, leaving participants with an unforgettable experience of unity and bliss.
Seva Activity 2: Cow Feeding
The second seva was held at the cow feeding area in Industri Raya, Central Jakarta, where 11 cows were lovingly fed by the same group of devotees. Cow feeding is a regular activity of the Sai Center, yet on this special day, it was added to the agenda to deepen the team’s spirit of service. As the team reflected, sometimes one seva is not enough—hearts naturally yearn to do more when filled with Swami’s love.
Both activities highlighted the spirit of SMILE: serving selflessly, losing oneself in educare and seva, and inspiring love everywhere. As devotees continue preparing for the upcoming centenary celebrations, these moments remind us that seva is not just an action, but a path to transformation and unity with the Divine.
